Party! REQUIEM FOR A MACHINE SOUL feat. Shinichiro Watanabe

Gallery IKOI presents REQUIEM FOR A MACHINE SOUL feat. Shinichiro Watanabe

To celebrate the Abdul Qadim Haqq & Shinichiro Watanabe IKOI exhibition and the release of booklet REQUIEM FOR A MACHINE SOUL, we will throw a fantastic party event this Saturday 26th June at club SEATA in Kichijoji, Tokyo!

We will future Shinichiro Watanabe, the famed director of Cowboy Bebop and Samurai champloo (also a great music lover!) to create a space where his world and music encounter. To boost up the event, top artists Hiroshi Kawanabe from TOKYO No.1 SOUL SET and ink, and DJ TSUTCHIE, a great friend of Shinichiro who worked on the sound track for Samurai Champloo will spin their great sound, supported by MOA, the head of Tokyo leading label CARIZMA and the Storyriders crew DJ Muku.

Be aware of the visuals, too. We will have a special VJ DEVICEGIRLS, who will show us fantastic visual mash up using Shinichiro Watanabe's renowned anime works Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, and The Animatrix as well as the IKOI exhibition art works.

We will also provide a chill-out second floor, where you could find IKOI original booklet REQUIEM FOR A MACHINE SOUL and posters on sale. The booklet features painting works by Abdul Qadim Haqq & original story by Shinichiro Watanabe. Our previous IKOI projects by Tsuyoshi Kusano, Daisuke Nishijima and Masako Tomii will be introduced there and you could find their original products co-produced by each artist and IKOI available there.

This would be an amazing night, where you could witness the cross-over world of Shinichiro Watanabe and top Japanese DJ/artists through animation and electronic music, so please come to have fun and say hello to us if you are in/near Tokyo!
